CLUB AND SITE RULES

 

1. A visitor wishing to sail may sail up to three times on payment of the race fee. After that they must join the club to be allowed to sail.

 

2. Membership fee will be halved for anyone joining the club after 30th September.

 

3. When other activities are taking place on the site (swimming, diving etc.) then members must use the parking area immediately on the left through the gates. Usually weekends. At other times members may park on the road providing they do not block access to the site.

 

4. When the gates are not open members must not park on the grass verges on the main road.

 

5. No cars to enter the site by the gates next to the office without permission from the owners and only then, when supervised.

 

6. All boats stands and equipment must be kept on the allocated area for that purpose.

 

7. There must be no excessive shouting on site. This is to prevent false alarms when divers are active, as shouting is part of their warning procedure.

 

8. Launching of boats must be done only from the launching platforms provided or other designated areas as agreed.

 

9. Boats which have gone onto a lee shore must be rescued using the equipment provided. Under no circumstances must any skipper try to wade in the water to rescue a boat.

 

10. Anyone using safety boats must have had the appropriate training and wear a properly fitting and fastened life jacket. When rescue is required there must be two people in the rescue craft.

 

11. Only food and drink purchased at the café may be consumed on site.
